How it works
You can't become a healthcare assistant or caregiver by watching videos alone — and you can't fit full-time school around real life either. So we built three things into one programme: online learning at your own pace, hands-on practical days where you're taught and tested, followed by a supervised internship in a real healthcare setting.
Most of the learning happens online, around your schedule. Here's a typical week.
Watch the lessons and read along, on your phone, whenever suits you. About 4–5 hours a week.
A short quiz unlocks the next module — so you never fall behind without noticing.
One evening a week, bring your questions to a live session with the trainer.
Use your take-home kit to practise skills between practical days.
Start with the Basic certificate, then specialise with Advanced. Each combines online modules and hands-on practical days, followed by a supervised internship in a real healthcare setting.
Online modules and four practical days across the taught months, followed by a two-week supervised internship, then final assessment. The internship is included in your fee, and your certificate is issued once it's completed and signed off.
Weeks 1–2
The care worker's role and scope, ethics and duty of care, person-centred care, communication, infection control, and health & safety. → Practical Day 1.
Weeks 3–5
Personal care, nutrition and feeding, safe moving and handling, and vital signs. → Practical Days 2 & 3.
Weeks 6–7
Consent and mental capacity, safeguarding, medication awareness, first aid and hands-on CPR, elderly, mental-health and dementia awareness, documentation. → Practical Day 4.
Internship
After your taught weeks are complete, apply your skills in a partner hospital or care home, supervised by the institution's own staff. Included in your fee — your certificate is issued once it's completed and signed off.
Final
A written exam and a hands-on practical exam. Pass, and you're certified.
For Basic graduates · anatomy & physiology and specialist community care, then healthcare-facility readiness, followed by a one-week supervised internship and final assessment. The internship is included in your fee, and your certificate is issued once it's completed and signed off.
Part one
Anatomy & physiology, dementia, stroke and palliative support, disability care, postpartum, mental health, pressure-injury prevention, and oral medication administration under a care plan.
Part two
Ward procedures, the multidisciplinary team, clinical observations and records, oxygen safety, facility care skills, bed making, specimen handling, and catheter/stoma awareness — all within a defined scope, under supervision.
Practical
Specialist care, then facility skills, then supervised medication administration with individual competency sign-off and an integrated complex-care simulation.
Internship
After your taught weeks are complete, apply advanced and facility skills in a partner hospital or care home, supervised by the institution's staff. Included in your fee — your certificate is issued once it's completed and signed off.
Final
Written and practical exams, including individual medication competency. Pass, and you earn the Advanced certificate.
Four full practical days, 9am–4pm, spread across the programme. You arrive, recap the modules, then rotate through skill stations — practising on equipment and on each other under a trainer's eye.
Every skill has a checklist. When you perform it competently, the trainer signs you off. You leave each day able to do things you couldn't that morning.
No surprises — you're tested on exactly what you practised:
Pass mark 70%. Your certificate can be verified online by any employer.
Any Android or iPhone works. That's where you'll do the online learning.
Lessons are built to be light on data. Wi-Fi helps but isn't required.
Four practical days, followed by a two-week supervised internship — both required before your certificate is signed off.
